The cure to your cancer is a surgery that has an 85% success rate leaving you with a normal life expectancy. However, regardless of whether the surgery is successful or not at removing the cancer you face a 50/50 chance of being left paralyzed from the neck down.

Would you risk the surgery?


  1. The answer might lie in what kind of life the cancer patient presently has and how they believe they might continue to participate and contribute after surgery. Life is a surprising and interesting place to be.
    But personally, I think I'd take the risk. Opportunities are born of struggle.

    1. I'm not so certain I would take the risk. But I think if death were staring me in the face I might change my mind.
